This just in...: Lil Wayne in solitary confinement; John McTiernan to serve a year in prison

Rapper Lil Wayne's hard time is getting harder. (AP/Louis Lanzano) Lil Wayne will spend the last several weeks of his New York jail time in solitary confinement -- punishment for getting caught with contraband headphones, the Associated Press reports. The rapper, put away in March on a weapons charge, is due to get out next month. John McTiernan was handed a year in prison and a $100K fine Monday for his involvement in a wiretapping case. The director of "Die Hard" and other action films pleaded guilty to perjury and lying to the feds about hiring Hollywood P.I. Anthony Pellicano (now serving 15 years for racketeering) to illegally tape a producer.
