News Roundup: Meredith Vieira Might Not Return to 'Today,' HBO Could Pick Up Tea Leoni Pilot and More

Filed under: TV NewsWhen Meredith Vieira's contract is up at the end of 2011, the 'Today' host said she might not return to the show.

But don't be afraid of a Vieira-less morning just yet: She hasn't actually made the decision to stay or go. "I'll know when it's time to go, and I'm not afraid to go," she told Ladies' Home Journal. "If I were to leave at the end of next year because it's time for me, I wouldn't jump into another show."

Vieira has co-hosted 'Today' since Katie Couric's departure in 2006.

In other TV news ...

o. The '30 Rock' live episode delivered the show's best ratings of the season. The comedy was up 43 percent from last week with a 3.0 rating. [Vulture]

o. ABC announced premiere dates for 'V' and 'Skating With the Stars.' 'V' will return for its second season on Jan. 4, while the 'Dancing With the Stars' spinoff will start out in the post-'DWTS' slot on Nov. 22, then move into its predecessor's place on Dec. 6. [Deadline Hollywood]
