Sara Evans' first all-new album in five years, 'Stronger,' becomes her second consecutive No. 1 disc on the Billboard country album chart with first-week sales topping 55,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan data. The collection also becomes her second to reach the Top 10 on the multi-genre Billboard 200, bowing at No. 6. The singer's 2006 album, 'Real Fine Place,' topped the country chart and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Sara recently told The Boot that she named the new album 'Stronger' to show how much she'd grown in the six years since her last record -- a period of time during which she weathered an ugly divorce, but also wrote novels, toured, remarried, moved from Nashville to Birmingham, Ala., and created a new home with her husband, Jay Barker, and their blended family of seven children.
