Times, Guardian Editors Would Stand 'Shoulder To Shoulder' With Assange If Prosecuted (Yahoo! / The Cutline)
During a packed WikiLeaks panel Thursday night at Columbia University, Jack Goldsmith, a Harvard law professor and former assistant attorney general in the second Bush administration, said he believes the United States will prosecute WikiLeaks founder and editor-in-chief Julian Assange on charges related to his disclosure of clandestine diplomatic cables. WWD: The New York Times executive editor Bill Keller and The Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger -- partners in crime, perhaps, with Assange -- sat together on a panel at Columbia University's Low Library Thursday night.
