Chris Young is undoubtedly excited to be attending the upcoming Grammy Awards as a nominee, but the 25-year-old reveals he's actually taken part in a past ceremony -- as a performer.

"They do a Grammy jazz choir every year, and I was one of six people that were in high school that they picked to do it," Chris writes on his website. "So I went up and played the 'CBS Morning Show.' It's something I don't get to talk about a lot, because obviously doing country, it doesn't necessarily relate directly to jazz, but I got to go and just be there and perform at the pre-party for the nominees. This year I'll be at the pre-party for the nominees. So, it's exciting."

Chris is in the running this year for the Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his hit, 'Gettin' You Home,' which he co-wrote. It's the song that the former 'Nashville Star' contestant credits with getting his entire career off the ground.
