Soap News: 'Bold and the Beautiful's' Big Plans for 6,000th Episode

Filed under: Reality-Free, TV NewsOn Mon., Feb. 7, 2011, CBS's 'The Bold and the Beautiful' will hit a major milestone when it airs episode number 6,000. To honor the occasion, executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell has planned a special episode about cancer.

It will feature guest star Kathryn Joosten, who plays Mrs. McCluskey on ABC's 'Desperate Housewives.'

The episode will blend reality with the fiction of the soap. Real-life cancer survivors, like Joosten, will discuss their battles against the disease at the home of Stephanie Forrester, the character played by Emmy-winner Susan Flannery. On the soap, Stephanie is battling stage four lung cancer.
