Joseph Llanes for The Boot
Naomi and Wynonna Judd have lived their lives, collectively and separately, in the public eye for 25 years, but they reveal themselves in ways never before seen in 'The Judds,' their docu-series airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Not only do they disclose new details to their millions of fans, but also to each other, including Naomi's long-held secret of childhood abuse. The show is a runaway hit, drawing 1.7 million viewers for its two-hour April 10 premiere, making it the highest-rated debut on OWN outside of the network's launch week.
During a recent stop to AOL's Beverly Hills studio, the mother and daughter admit their first reaction to seeing themselves on the show was, as Wynonna puts it, "What have we done?" As their fractured past plays out for all to see in the pair's attempt to heal old wounds during their first tour together in years, they discover new bonds. "We became closer than I think we've ever been," Wynonna says. But not without a few scrapes along the way.
