Brad Paisley Rolls Out a Prank on Easton Corbin

Brad Paisley is up to his old tricks again! His latest victim: Easton Corbin. The country newcomer knew that his prank-free tour with Brad was too good to be true. Easton had survived an entire summer as an opening act on Brad's H20 World Tour without any shenanigans from the country superstar -- who is notorious for pulling fast ones on his tour mates.

"We've only got about three more shows with [Brad] and since we haven't seen any [pranks] yet, I'd be very surprised if we didn't see something here in the next week." Easton said earlier this month. "Whatever happens, I'll take it like a man."

Last weekend (September 25), during the H20 tour stop in Denver, Colo., the 27-year-old saw his good-luck streak with Brad come to an end. In the middle of his set, the crooner was joined on stage by a strange looking guest he wasn't expecting ... and like his hit song, Easton just had to 'Roll With It' ... literally!

Facebook photos is still not a Flickr killer

As we reported yesterday, Facebook is making some much-needed changes to the way that it handles photos. Of course, it didn’t take long for people to start calling out the death of photo stalwart Flickr, but I’m going to take the stand that Flickr has nothing to worry about. Why, you might ask? From where [...]

Anderson Cooper Signs Daytime Talk Show Deal

Filed under: TV NewsSo, Oprah's TV heir has been announced and it's none other than The Silver Fox himself: Anderson Cooper.

According to Reuters, Cooper has signed a deal to host a syndicated daytime TV talk show from fall 2011. But he'll be doing double duty as he also gets to keep his job as host of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360." Warner Bros. announced the deal Thursday, and said the daytime show would cover social issues, pop culture and human interest stories.

Cooper -- who described daytime TV as "fun and interesting" -- will also conduct undercover investigations using hidden cameras, and hold town hall meetings on topics like race, infidelity and Internet predators. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments

Hayley Williams On 'Glee' Salute: 'I Felt Like I Was Levitating'

On Tuesday night's Britney-riffic episode of "Glee," there was just one performance (aside from that part where Mr. Schue sang Michael McDonald in his new Corvette) that didn't center on all things Spears: Lea Michele's rather stirring rendition of Paramore's "The Only Exception," a key track off last year's Brand New Eyes album.

And while, to some, the inclusion of the song might have seemed a bit, well, odd (or, at least, "not Britney") in a lot of ways, Michele's performance — which ended with tears streaming down her face — sort of stole the show. It was a pretty powerful moment ... especially if you were the girl who wrote the song.
In the hours following the episode, Paramore's Hayley Williams took to her Twitter account to praise Michele's performance, and say that she was "so humbled" to have one of her band's tunes on the show.
Of course, MTV News wanted to get Williams' take on all this "Glee" madness. Given how nuts everything has been since the episode aired, it took her about a day to get back to us. And, not surprisingly, when she finally did, she still felt like she was floating on cloud nine.
"I can't even describe how I felt hearing one of our songs on a hit show like 'Glee,' " she wrote in an e-mail. "Lea Michele sang it beautifully, and I liked what she changed vocally. I felt like I was levitating off of my friend's couch trying to understand it was really happening!"
Yes, it really happened. And, from the looks of things, it's not going to stop happening anytime soon. On Thursday (September 30), nearly 48 hours since the episode first aired, the "Glee" version of "Exception" is holding steady on the iTunes singles chart. It's currently third, behind the Far East Movement's "Like a G6" and, naturally, the "Glee" version of Britney's "Toxic."
What did you think of the "Glee" version of "Only Exception"? Let us know in the comments!
